INSTALLATION: TOP/SIDE HINGE METHOD

NOTE: If your decal is very large or wide, you may want to consider using the Middle Hinge Method instead.

Here's a quick preview of the Top/Side Hinge Installation Method (keep scrolling for in-depth instructions):

BEFORE YOU START

The temperature of the surface you will apply the decal to should be between 55-85°F degrees or it may not stick properly. Avoid applying in dusty or windy areas if possible.

SUPPLIES

Rubbing Alcohol, a Clean Cloth, Masking Tape, a Squeegee Tool or Credit Card

STEP #1

Clean the area thoroughly with the rubbing alcohol and cloth. Make sure the area is completely dry before moving to step 2.

STEP #2

Measure and place your decal in the desired location with a piece of tape. Once you have it exactly where you want it, place a long piece of masking tape across the top to hold it in place. This will act as a hinge as you will see in step #3. (If your decal is very short and wide, it may be easier to place the tape hinge on the side instead of the top.)

STEP #3

Lift the decal from the side opposite of the hinge. Slowly remove the backing paper, making sure all the pieces of the decal stick to the transfer tape. (HELP: If your decal is sticking to the back paper, use this Pre-Release Technique.)

STEP #4

Starting from the hinge side, slowly lower the decal while rubbing it onto the surface with your squeegee tool. Once you have the entire decal down, rub over it a few more times, taking extra care on the decals edges.

STEP #5

Wait 3 minutes. Then, starting from a corner, very slowly peel back the transfer tape at a 180° angle. If the decal lifts up with the transfer tape, lay the tape back down and rub the troublesome spot again. (HELP: If the decal continues to lift up with the transfer tape, use this Press & Roll Technique.)

STEP #6

Application is finished, but we still have a few tips to make your decal last as long as possible!

-The adhesive needs 48 hours to fully cure, so don't go through the car wash for 2 days. After that, you can get as many car washes as you want!

-If you applied your decal to a bottle or cup, please note that vinyl decals are not dishwasher safe and should only be hand washed.
